William Lee Floyd, Sr., age 79 of Shinnston, WV, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2025 at Tygart Center at Fairmont Campus. He was born March 20, 1946 in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Harry Floyd Sr. and Ellen Margaret Haley Floyd.
William is survived by his wife of 25 years, Margaret Norma Floyd, his son, William “Billy” Floyd Jr., three step-children, Charlene Kidd, Junior Nance and Crystal Collett, and his twin-sister Roberta Simms.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by two children, Barbara Pettitt and Jay Hern, three siblings, Danny Floyd, Sharron Tassone, and Patricia Bolyard, and his in-laws Eugene Farley and Garvine Campbell.
William served in the United States Marine Corp. and loved making things, mostly working with wood. He also loved gardening and helping people.
There will be no funeral home services as direct cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of her arrangements.
