Wilma J. Dillon, age 83 of Mannington, WV passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 2, 1938 in Premier, WV, a daughter of the late Marvin L. Jones and Helen (Mabry) Jones.
She is survived by three children, Sandy and Dick Hinerman of New Martinsville, David and Lisa Dillon of Mannington, and Mark Dillon of NC; four grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Dillon of Enterprise, Alicia and Caleb Seckman of Charleston, Brandon and Danielle Dillon of Farmington, and Alec Hinerman of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Remington, Hunter and Reagan Dillon of Enterprise; and his brother, Fred and Melbie Jones of Andrews, SC.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil E. Dillon; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Janet Jones of Welch.
Wilma was previously employed at the McDowell County Courthouse in Welch where she worked in the County Clerk’s Office, the WVA Welfare Dept. and the WVA State Employment Office. She was also a homemaker who truly took care of her home! She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Mannington where she was as a former Sunday school teacher, part of the United Methodist Women’s group, and many other activities in the church. She loved her family very much, as well as her church, her neighbors, and her many pets down through the years!
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Sunday from 10am to 1pm with the funeral services beginning at 1pm with Rev. Jerry Bush and Tom Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
The funeral will be live-streamed for those unable to attend beginning at approximately 12:55 on the funeral home facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, 2731 Locust Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554.
