Caroline “Sis” Hayes, 73, of Fairview, WV and formerly of Mannington, WV, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at her residence in Fairview. She was born August 23, 1941 in Marion County, WV, a daughter of the late Glen Dale Hayes and Katherine Jones Hayes.
She is survived by her 4 children, Teresa Hayes of Mannington, Michael Hayes of Daybrook, Deanna Ammons and husband Mikie of Daybrook, and Christinia Gray and husband Sam of Mannington; 10 grandchildren, Derek Hayes, Kayla Hayes, Erica Hayes, Shawn Hayes, Cody Gray, Tyzori Carpenter, Marysa Gray, Trevor Ammons, Heidi Ammons and Lexi Gray; 3 siblings, Russell Ray Hayes of Akron, OH, Kathy Smith of Mannington and Anna Hayes of Rachel, WV; several nieces and nephews and several “adopted” grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Louise Wells and 2 brothers, Roger Dale Hayes and Roy Edward Hayes. Caroline enjoyed puzzle books, crocheting and she helped babysit several children in Mannington.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 6-8:00 pm. There will be no funeral services.
