Coy Junior “Possum” Barker, age 61 of Mannington, WV passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his residence. He was born December 7, 1960 at Fairmont, WV a son of the late McCoy L. Barker and Mabel Belle Wright Barker.
He is survived by a daughter, Cassie (Dallas) Klages of Morgantown, WV, his former wife, Millette Mike of Mannington, and four siblings, Anita Proffitt of Ghanna, OH, Delford (Joyce) Barker of Rachel, WV, Mary Rose Gump of Fairmont, and Mona Anderson and companion Eddie Glover of Mannington. He is also survived by an uncle, Harry Wright of Littleton, WV, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Coy was employed at Hammer Saw Mill, Hills Dept. Store in Fairmont, and Millers Hardware in Mannington. He was a member of the Mannington Elks Lodge. He enjoyed old cars and riding his 4-wheeler. He had several friends including his good friends Brandy Starsick, Patty Vaughan and Steve Starkey.
There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral services as cremation was chosen as the final method of disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV has been placed in care of final arrangements.
