Kelvin (KL) Parrish

Kelvin Lane “KL” Parrish, age 59 of Rachel, WV, passed away on his 59th birthday on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Monongalia General Hospital.  He now returns to the loving arms of his mother.  He was born April 20, 1958 in Fairmont, WV, son of the late Willis Lyle and Betty Jean McInturff Parrish.

KL was preceded in death by two brothers; Thomas and a younger brother, Kevin

KL is survived by two older brothers, Gilmer Lee and Libby Parrish of Bridgeport and David and Cynthia Parrish of Morgantown.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews David, Sherry, Jerry, Thomas Jr., Joseph, Jonathan, Kevin and Marianne.

KL always told his nurses he worked hard and played hard  in his younger days.  He worked at the Saw Mill in Rachel for many years.  He loved his motorcycles before MS claimed his mobility. 

His family will be forever grateful to the staff at Pierpont Assisted Living Center in Fairmont for their compassion and excellent nursing care.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St. Mannington on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 10am-12pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00 pm with Pastor Bill Coon officiating.  Interment will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel.  Online condolences may be made left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com

Our hearts go out to the Parrish family for the loss of their brother, uncle (KL). He was a great neighbor and friend. He and his mom was always there when we or someone needed help no questions asked. He will be greatly missed. He is now resting in peace looking down on us with his mom Betty P.

I will fondly remember KL as the man who walked from Rachel to Sunshine with his dogs and always looked after his mother Betty
