Rachel Rebecca Morris, age 68, of Worthington, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at her home. She was born May 11, 1957 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Julian and Mary Morris.
Rachel is survived by her son Michael Manley and her “Million Dollar Daughter-In-Law” Deyna Manley, and their daughter Zoey. She also leaves behind two brothers, Train and Frank, as well as her sister Nancy. And perhaps most importantly, she leaves behind the love of her life Tim. They loved each other when they were young and found each other again within the last year of her life.
Her time spent with Tim were some of the happiest of her whole life. She was forever grateful to have been reunited with her long lost love. She wanted nothing more than to spend time with him at his cabin. She found true love and happiness by the end of her life, and she will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
She was a free spirit and loved without fear or trepidation. The saying that she said most to her son was to “Follow Your Heart” and she truly lived by example.
Rachel will be cremated according to her wishes and her ashes will be spread in her favorite beautiful and serene location, Tim’s cabin. That way she can be around her love and gaze upon the flowers and the hummingbirds for all time.
Condolences
I am deeply sorry for your loss. 😔 Becky and I shared the same birthday. We met each other in 1976 through her SIL, Cindy and spent that summer in Kill Devil Hills, NC, working at a family owned seafood restaurant in Manteo. I will never forget the fun we had that summer. We remained friends for a few years but life happened and we eventually lost touch. I am so happy to know that she found true love and happiness with Tim at the end of her life. ❤️
So sorry for your loss. Praying for the family🙏
I knew Rachel as "Becky" in high school, and remember her and Tim way back then. I'm very glad they got back together before she passed.
Tim, may you and your family find peace in the memories she left behind. Take care. - Jo
To Becky's family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
I graduated with Becky (Rachel) and had been keeping in touch with her over the last few years having lunch or phone conversations. The last time I spoke with her was the happiest I've ever heard her....she had definitely found true happiness and love again with Tim and I was so happy for her. I pray comfort for her family and friends, especially Tim at this sad time. She will be missed by all her knew her. Rest in peace dear friend.
